Make time in your calendar on June 21 and June 22 for the weekend of PARKsale, the yearly event that features goods by local and independent artists and fashion designers. Not only is it free to attend, it’s also free for the vendors, which means it’s a great way to support local artists. There will be more than 75 vendors, three food trucks, a DJ and Sled Island musicians. Running both days from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Haultain Park (225 13th Ave. S.W.).
PARKsale is actually how the organization PARK started. Standing for Promoting Artists, Rediscovering Kulture, PARK has made its mark in Calgary as an organization that promotes new and local artists.
